On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, members of the Sendai Convention Bureau participated in the “JNTO Incentive Travel Business Meeting (Philippines)” held at New World Makati Hotel in Manila, the Philippines.
The event brought together 20 organizations from Japan as sellers and 26 organizations from the Philippines as buyers. Our bureau held meetings with 7 local travel agencies, where we shared the latest updates on Sendai and listened to buyer needs and interests.
The following day, we visited several travel agencies and land operators in the Philippines to exchange information on market trends and to provide details on Sendai’s tourism offerings and available support programs.
Being our bureau’s first sales visit to this location, we established new buyer connections and gained valuable insights into the Philippine market. Building on these relationships, we will continue active information exchange and strengthen our efforts to attract more incentive travels to Sendai.
