The Sendai City Tourist Information Center, formerly located on the 2nd floor concourse of JR Sendai Station, has officially relocated to the 3rd floor as of November 27, 2025. The new location is even more convenient for travelers arriving by shinkansen bullet train because it is located in the exact middle of both the shinkansen Central and South Gates. Lockers and luggage storage are located nearby on the same floor making your arrival hassle-free.
At the center, visitors can find information on recommended sightseeing spots, local specialties, access routes, and transportation, as well as browse a wide range of tourism brochures. Staff are available to assist in English, and other languages are supported through translation devices. The center is also a JNTO-certified Category 3 Foreign Tourist Information Center, ensuring reliable service for international guests.
Hours: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM from Dec. 31 to Jan. 3)
Open year-round.
