On December 5, 2023, at the Toshi Center Hotel in Tokyo, the Sendai Convention Bureau participated in the “Attracting MICE to the Tohoku Region 2023″ business meeting event, organized by the Tohoku Region Convention Promotion Council. This event united 16 districts across 7 prefectures from the Tohoku region and Niigata prefecture.
The Sendai booth attracted 14 visitors from 9 organizations. The outcome was highly productive, resulting in the acquisition of several new projects. Feedback from attendees was very positive, with remarks highlighting the value of face-to-face consultations, the depth of information available on a lesser known region of Japan, and the ability to learn many things at one event.
In the next year, the Sendai Convention Bureau again plans to work together with the other members of the Tohoku Region Convention Promotion Council to welcome even more visitors and MICE to the Tohoku region and Niigata prefecture.
