“Meet Japan” – Hosted buyer program by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) was held from February 25 to March 2.
Association executives and conference organizers worldwide were invited to discover meetings and events destinations in Japan, and to network with local convention bureaus and service suppliers. Among them were Ms. Belinda Humes Hanson (International Society for Computational Biology, iSCB) and Mr. Benoit Machuel (International Federation of Musicians, FIM), who visited Sendai for their two day inspection tour.
“Sendai is a great city conveniently located just a short train ride north of Tokyo. It is a great conference destination for our attendees and the added bonus of experiencing some great local culture, such as the ruins of Sendai Castle and a traditional Kaiseki cuisine at Toyokan will be true crowd pleasers. The conference facilities as well as available hotels and ease of transportation to and from these locations make Sendai a top choice” – Ms. Belinda Humes Hanson, iSCB
